I'm blogging

Hey girls,

I love reading your blogs so much that I finally set up one of my own. This is the place:

It's pretty primitive, but I'm excited about it.

Potty Training Help :)

Hey Girls!
sorry to break the chain of cute Halloween pictures, but I just wanted some of your seasoned Mom advice :) Kyler is 23 months and just starting to show the signs of being ready to potty train. As this being my first kid I have tons of questions and don't know where to begin?! or if it's even worth begining now?
My first question is what products, DVD, books, potty chairs did you guys buy and like or hate? As well as any methods for potty training you found in books etc that worked?
Another thing is that I am worried about having another baby in 2-3 months and if I do get him potty trained, is he just going to regress and make my life a lot harder than it needs to be when the baby comes? So should I wait till the baby is a few months old, or start and try to potty train him before the baby comes and deal with the messes? Just pretend we are at girls night and I just asked you guys these questions :)
I know this can't be the hardest thing I will ever do as a mom, but because I have never done this firsthand I don't know where to start??!!
So any tips, tricks, advice and recommendations for products to buy would be great and MUCH appreciated!
Thanks Girls!!!
love, Rachel

A Spokane Halloween

I am so sad that Halloween is over, mostly just because I can't use it as leverage to bribe my boys any more. I guess I have to move on to Christmas and "Santa won't bring you any presents if you're going to act like that!" Here are my boys Trick-or-Treating. Mason is the Cowboy, Campbell is Spiderman, and Porter is the skeleton. They had a great time and Andersen could hardly keep up with them.
Here is Coolidge enjoying Halloween.
He and I spent the night in the van driving along with the boys. I didn't mind at all, because it was CHILLY. It was a great neighborhood to Trick-or-Treat in. All the houses were decorated and a lot of the people got really in to it. The boys' favorites were this guy who acted like a manikin until you got close enough and then he'd jump at you and growl. He was really good at it and the boys liked watching other unsuspecting kids get scarred. And at one house they had a semi trailer set up as a haunted house. The boys went through it and came face to face with "a scary guy with a chainsaw." They couldn't stop talking about it. Why is it so much fun getting scared?
Anyway, glad to see that you all had fun. Happy Halloween!

NEW RULES!

It looks like most of you have already caught on to this, but for everyone else - here are the 2 new rules:
1- YOU MUST POST PICTURES OF YOUR KIDS ON THE BLOG EVERY HALLOWEEN AND EASTER!
2- YOU MUST POST A PICTURE OF YOURSELF ON YOUR BIRTHDAY!

Sound good? I love this - looking at how much everyone's children have grown in a few short months. If we never saw each other any other time during med school we at least saw each other at Halloween and Easter at the school, right? I'm really missing that :( But, this should help!

Here are my kiddles in their costumes!

At our ward "Trunk or Treat" Charlie won 'funniest' costume.... huh? I guess ninja's are funny?!?!?

Yeah, she doesn't look too comfortable here, does she? Poor thing - two crazy older brothers ;0)

Banks Halloween

I love seeing all of your Halloween pictures. Brynn was Bat girl and Brayden was bat baby. Our little Aubrey was Ariel. ( She didn't want to be a bat. She has been wanting to be Ariel since last Halloween). I love holidays. It is just so great to see how happy my children get. It looks like all of you had a fun Halloween.

Our Kids

Here are our kids (fairy, bee, witch). We had a crazy fun Halloween. The kids have way, way too much candy. Way more then they got last year (and I thought they got a lot last year). Our neighborhood was supposedly the place to be for little kids, there was a ton of them. Our kids loved Trick or Treating, even Caden wanted to be part of it. He would sign more, squirm out of our arms and then walk up to the doors and get candy. It was pretty cute.
Here are some photos of our Halloween! We had a lot of fun this year
And Kyler really enjoyed himself as a Farmer :) He carried around a tractor
and horsey for a little while! It was a great night, but pretty cold!!!
