"If nothing else, your consistant!"

That is what the ultrasound tech said when he announced that we are having another girl! Yep, we have officially added enough girls to our family that we can have our own girls basketball team with Austin as the coach and me naturally as the ref! We are really excited! The girls all want to name her Mariposa (after the new barbie movie that we haven't even seen yet!) However, right now we are thinking of Kylie Simone, we aren't 100% sure on that though so please let me know if you think of a cute name. We are running out of girl names that we agree on. We have seriously contemplated a few of your kids names because they are so darn cute! Anyway, we only have 18 weeks to go officially (16 unofficially!)

What do you want first...Good news or bad?

Okay, we finally got our orders!!!! Good news right?! We are going to Minot Air Force Base. Just incase you've never heard of it....that is because it is in North Dakota. So I got what I wanted...We are not going to Alabama...Yippee! Anyway, don't know any details yet. We just got orders today. I'm a little nervous but we know that is where we were supposed to be. When we were filling out our choices, we were not going to put Minot down but right before we submitted our choices, Trent said, "we have to put Minot because I just feel like that's where we are going and that's where we are supposed to be." So, we changed it and put it as number 17, right before our three Japan choices. Funny, so I guess we had it coming. The wait is over.

Katie gave me a WICKED idea ;)

Hi there!

It's wicked hot here today. ICK! I thought we escaped the heat!! :(

Anyway, Katie has given me a very wicked idea... Would any of you ladies coming for the getaway like to see the musical WICKED? I have seen it and it is UNBELIEVABLY awesome. The tickets are pretty expensive, but way worth it I promise! Its at a theater in Los Angeles called the Pantages on Hollywood blvd- so there's a lot to see there as well. It's probably the cleanest (no foul language or sex) production that has been produced in the last 50 years, and its just an unforgettable experience.

Here's what I found out: tickets are available for every night that
weekend at a range of 32.50- 95.50. Showtimes are Friday at 8:00 PM,
Saturday at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Sunday at 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM.

The downside is that its in LA and we can't take the babies. I don't think we'd have trouble finding babysitters, but it would be for quite a while. Amy, I especially thought this might be tough for you. Ethan will be, what, 10 weeks or something? I thought about asking my mom to come down and babysit.

I think going to Wicked would be the PERFECT icing on our getaway CAKE, but I don't want to assume that you all feel the same :) Let me know what you all think about that idea. I know tickets are harder to get (especially the cheaper ones) the longer we wait.

My 27th B-day!

So, yesterday was my 27th birthday. Hooray! I feel so much older and SO much wiser than 2 days ago. It was a really great day, and I felt so loved from everyone around me. Steve worked until 3 that morning, then had to go in at 5pm, so we had to change things up a bit from our usual dinner out and cake and ice cream, followed by kids to bed and movie watching.

I got up at 7:30 and Steve jumped out of bed and ran down the stairs before me to heat up an omelet that he brought me home from the hospital, then promptly went back and collapsed in bed for 4 more hours. The kids then sang to me how I smell like a zoo, and then I realized I hadn't showered yet. I couldn't shower yet, because then it was on to walking group for a great morning walk with a surprise cake and ice cream at the end. I was so fun and I felt very loved by my great friends here. Toledo will definitely be missed.

After playing for a while at the park, we rushed home to wake Steve and then I went and took Shaun out of school, and we headed out to b-day lunch. We went to the fanciest place we thought the kids could handle, TGIFriday's. They really wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese, but I couldn't think of anything that would make me loose that omelet and the cake and ice cream faster. So while we were waiting for our food, Steve pull out my presents. The first was a new sudoku book (I'm addicted. Is there some kind of support group for that? SA? Hi, I'm Katie, and I dream in numbers from 1-9 in straight lines across and down, and in small 3x3 squares. Hello Katie.) Then the second gift was the thing I have wanted for probably 4 years now, a trip to Chicago to see Wicked!!!!!!!! I almost started crying. I am so dang excited! We'll go on the 27th of May, and hang out for a few days, and see the sites of Chicago. I can't believe I am finally seeing Wicked. I wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, and can't get back to sleep due to 'Loathing' or 'Defying Gravity' going through my head incessantly. I love it so much that it haunts my every waking moment (even if I'm just partly awake). The 3rd gift came in the mail later, and it was the 6 hour version of Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility on DVD. I could not have asked for 3 better or more thoughtful gifts. It was perfect.

Later, for dinner, my friend Leisy brought over the best Papa Murphy's Pizza I have ever had. I had Chicken, artichoke hearts, spinach, and bacon with a creamy sauce. It was amazing. The kids didn't love the artichokes, so, hey, more for me.

We then went to cooking group and had a most lovely time with our friends, eating and chatting and eating some more. When we came home and I finally put the kids to bed, (about 9;45. Bed time around here is specifically 7:30) I collapsed in a food induce stupor and watched some of Sense and Sensibility until my eyes would no longer focus on Kate Winslet's face framed by her perfect curls.

I loved my birthday, and wish I could do it again tomorrow. Oh well, only 364 more days.

Anyway, in keeping with birthday blog tradition, something you might not know about me is that I give way too many details about minor things. Oh wait, you may have discovered that on your own just now. So, something else you might not know about me is that may biggest dream is to someday sing in the MoTab. I am nowhere near the level you have to be to get in, but I figure I have a a few years to learn. Where there's a will, there's a way, right?

Can You Believe It!!!!!!

So check out my two new borns. Yes Logan just got a cast off about four weeks ago, and he decided he missed a broken bone so bad that he went and broke another one. So on thursday my sister and brother in law were here, and they thought it would be nice if they took the kids outside to play. Well I guess they got on my neighbors tramp (I was getting out of the shower) and my brother in law was wrestling with Logan and went to trip him and Logan fell just right on his leg and snapped his femur bone. My brother in law ran him in the house cradled in his arms and looked and me and said "I think he broke it. I heard a snap" I was horrified. So I called Dave at the hospital and he told me to bring him in for an x-ray. I knew it was broken because he was in excrutiating pain. We had to carry him in the car and hold him like a baby. Long story short we had to stay in the hospital overnight because they were hoping his leg would lengthen so they wouldn't have to do surgery. It didn't, it was shorten about four centimeters so they had to do surgery. They put in an external fixator. Those pins stick out of his leg like five inches. He is doing really well though. He is going to go crazy. He can't walk for six weeks. So needless to say come july I am really going to need that girls trip. I booked my flight as well. I don't get in until 10:45 on friday. Sorry I would have done it earlier but then I would have had to leave my house at 4 in the morning, and I will have Ethan with me. Please tell me I won't be the only one with a baby there. Anyway, I can't wait to see everyone. I will feel so free (accept for that little one attatched to my boob). See ya all soon.

San Onofre Beach and cottages

Here are some photos of the beach and cottages at San Onofre- Camp Pendleton. What do you guys think?

Can you see the cottages in this photo? They're above the row of cars. There a fence between the public area and the cottages so people can't just wander around your cottage, but it's pretty much right out on the beach!

Annabelle thinks it look like fun :)

More getaway info..

Karie raised some good questions about the getaway.

Kami and I have agreed that between the two of us, we should be able to pick people up at the airports. No need to rent a car. You can fly into San Diego or Orange County. It would be nice if everyone could come in at relatively the same time, but of course we realize how nearly impossible that is.

Lets say we need to have everyone here by the night of the 10th or the morning of the 11th so by Friday afternoon we are having the time of our lives! ;) Then flights home lets say Monday evening or Tuesday morning. Just do it however you can.

K, so the cottages are able to accomodate up to (we figure) 9 people. The cost per person won't be more than (we figure) about $70/ person for the whole weekend. (Kami and I might subsidize it a little since we don't have to buy a airplane ticket) If, for some reason, the cottages don't work out, we can always sleep people at mine and Kami's houses. However, Kami and I live about 40 minutes away from each other, so we thought it would be nice to all be together. The fact that its at the beach is just a bonus!! ;)

Flight prices are great on Southwest right now! Get your tickets asap. If gas prices keep rising, it could get ugly!

I guess that's it for now!
