July Girls weekend UPDATE

Hi ladies!

So, I've reserved beach cottages for the weekend of the 11th-14th of July. That means we check in on the 11th and check out on the 14th. Make your plans accordingly! :) It's going to be so fun and there is so much that we can do, or not do because of the location. It's just south of San Clemente State beach on base - the San Onofre beach. We can hang out at the beach all day or go any number of awesome places all around that area.

We have 3 cottages and Kami and I figured that we could accomodate as many of you as want to come, SO COME!! The cottages were extremely inexpensive, so don't worry about that being a major cost issue. I put it on my card, but they won't charge it until June 27th, so once we have the final head count, I'll have you all send checks or however you want to work it out.

Click the link below. It will take you to a page that has a photo tour of the cottages and has other area info as well.

July just can't come soon enough!

Long time no post

Wow, it has been so long. Amy, I am so happy for you. Ethan David....great name. Can't wait to see him. So, I never posted pics of my family for Easter. We really didn't get any "Easter" ones but here are some updates. The good family picture is from Kiddie Kandids and are not on my computer.
Oh, where to begin. We are doing great. Been a busy month. We went skiing, Trent and I, in March and then Trent took a week vacation and we made the drive to Oregon. We stopped at Temple Square over Conference weekend and that was cool. Brayden is really into the U-ku-le-le (phinetic spelling) since my sister from Hawaii has been here.
STILL WAITING for the military call. We thought we'd know by mid-April at the latest but now they said they "hope" to have orders out by the end of April. So...whatever. Trent's friend got his orders and is going to Japan. Trent thinks that would be awesome but I'm a bit skeptical. Only 52 days left of intern year. Yippee. Acutually, we've done okay but I will say I've had a lot of help with family being in and out. Funny how my parents are moving in ONE STREET away (literally) in June and we will probably be leaving in July/August. Crazy huh?

Amelia is great and beautiful. I love her so much. I think she actually saved me this year. The boys love her. Brayden and Lane are great too and we just plug along every day with whatever we can find to do...Costco sampling, library, walks, park, etc. The weather here is awesome. It might snow for an hour or two, but then you can go outside and play in it an hour later because the sun is shining and it warms up so fast. I love it.

So, my only problem these days is that I am getting too into talk radio and Glen Beck. So, I am freaking out about the economy and where the world is heading. I've gone full throddle (sp?) into getting my one year food storage. The military is just going to have to move it all. I've dedicated our whole "economic stimulus package" to getting it. We've got a good 4 months, well probably 6 now that I've been to the store a lot in the past few days. Anyone else getting scared or just me??

Okay, totally stoked about seeing everyone in July. Awesome. None of you better cop out. Okay, that'll do for now. Oh, Maggie...totally jealous of your beautiful house. Wowsers.

So I thought I would post some newer pictures that aren't that scary newborn look. He is doing so well. I thought I would give some details. I had been dialated to a four since week 35. ( I made Dave check me) So I figured I would go pretty early. I made Dave come with me to the doctor on monday the 21st, so that he could tell the doctor to enduce me soon because he had vacation next week. He told the doctor that and he said "okay how are we going to speed this up then." Then he checked me and he said "wow you are already like a five and your water is on the verge of breaking." So he put me in for an induction next tuesday. But everyone was like she won't make it that long. So we left the office and went to walmart and home depot to get things to finish Logans room. We are finishing his room in the basement. I was having a ton of contractions all day long. Finally I decided to jump in the shower and get ready because I figured it was time. Then I made Dave check me again and I was at a seven. He told me I better hurry if I wanted an epidural. So we got to the hospital and they got me all set up. They checked me again and I was at an eight. I got my epidural and they broke my water. Then the pain really started. My epidural didn't work at all on my left side and not very well on my right. It was horrible pain I hope not to experience again. I made it through because of all the support I had. My nurse was amazing, and my doctor, Dave and the resident that delivered me. Yes I let a resident deliver me. But it was a girl and we had just had her and her husband who is also a resident over last weekend to play guitar hero. She did great. Anyway the worst part of the whole deal was that the 21st is Paiges birthday. I didn't want them to have the same birthday. My labor lasted longer than I thought it would, I went in at 6:30 in the evening and he was ready to come out at 11:45. They said we are so close we need to just wait. That was the longest fifteen minutes of my life. He was born at 12:04 on the 22nd. I am recovering extremly well. I had no stitches. In fact Dave and I have been painting Logans room the past three days. My sister just had a baby as I typed this. She had a girl. Wow three grandkids birthdays in one week. Thanks for all your comments.

Is that a supermodel?

No, it's Maggie fixing her hair. Who knew I was so sexy without even trying? Well this is my birthday post. I am 27 today. I no longer feel like the young bride I used to be just now the tired, worn out, sick of being a responsible adult. Well that's life. I do have a great life though that I wouldn't trade for anything not even an ice cold caffeine-free diet coke or even a regular diet coke.

This is my gorgeous house. Is it wrong to love your house this much? I just love everything about it. I am already sad to move and that is still three years away. The floor plan is just our style. And hopefully I will get to redo the kitchen if I am good enough at saving.

My new favorite hobby with Jason is gardening. This is one of our garden boxes. We use the square foot gardening method and it is wonderful. If any of you are thinking about doing a garden check this out. Mel Bartholomew wrote a book all about it and I hear there is video. This is the easiest garden I have ever seen in my whole life. I will gladly answer any questions you might have on this subject. Anyway enough of that commercial.

Somethings you may not know about me:
I was into Eco-friendly stuff, green living, before it was cool. I refuse to use plastic bags. I bag my own groceries because the baggers never stuff my canvas bags full enough thus forcing the plastic bags upon me.

I used to play the violin in high school and now I am dying to get back into playing something. I am determined to get a piano. Which makes me nervous about which church callings I might get called to.

I have donated my hair twice to locks of love. I just cut it a month or two ago. But it is still long. It was down to my waist but now it is about three inches below my shoulders.

I am a lurker on all of your blogs. I read Not Without My Daughter and now I am afraid of Persian men and I made Jason promise to never take me to Iran. Along with lurking...

I have been inspired by Kami and Megan. I am going to run the Myrtle beach marathon in February. I ran a 5K once and cried because I didn't think I could finish it but I am determined to do this marathon. Every time I talk myself out of it, I talk myself back into it. I want to do something for myself, by myself. And this is it. So good luck to me I have 10 months. By the way it is on Valentine's day which will be a Saturday. Runner's World has placed it in the top ten best marathons to run. So if anyone else is looking for a fun marathon...

How to wash a white coat...

Okay ladies. I know, its been 5 years of washing these *&%$ white coats, and I still feel like I don't know how to get them really white. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong!! (actually i do think my washing machine is half the problem.)

Anyway, please tell me what you all do. I try to spray the collar, cuffs, etc, with shout or something like that, then i wash it in HOT water WITH bleach. I mean, this should work, right? Maybe its just the end of intern year and his 3 coats have just seen too much, but I am so embarassed that he puts on his nice "clean", pressed coat and it looks "offwhite"!

Any advice?

Megan

29, one more year

Ella took this picture up at my parents house today, where we had the white coat burning party, good times.

I don't really know where to start, I have been thinking about what I am going to post the last couple of days. Ella told me yesterday after asking how old I was going to be, "I can't wait until you're 30 so you can be in the same number as Daddy." Pretty funny. Turned 29 today, One more year as a twenty something. Jeremy was on call, the kids had a Happy Birthday sign waiting for me before I went downstairs this morning and presents they couldn't wait for me to open, they were cute.

Just some random things about me,

-sometimes I read too much
-let my kids watch too much tv, like during 2nd session of conference today so I could watch and listen

-get after my kids too much

-probably don't clean my house enough

-still love our house, big yard, pool, living on a circle, and having more than on toilet is a big plus

-glad Taylor lost his pacifier last Monday and has been taking it ok, even though it is incredibly sweet when he says, 'I wan paci, mom" love that kid.

-love it when Jeremy has a weekend off, we are pretty faithful about going out when he does, and we finally call yw to babysit more than family and the kids love them.

-love the almost annual vacation Jeremy and I take w/o kids, though we cheated last year and went to Hawaii twice, Amy thank goodness we went in Oct. and used our vouchers, ata closed shop and declared bankruptcy, Karie hope you guys got to use yours.

-waxed my armpits for the first time yesterday, didn't feel good, but surprising how fast my skin has recovered, hopefully don't have to shave for a while.

-would love to have a place here where it is safe to use my kiln and I could learn how to use it without worrying about the kids getting 3rd degree burns from it, then we could make pottery

-I also forgot how much I like Dr. Erickson, he gives me the VIP treatment as he puts it. I remember so many girls nights talking about our doctors, I am sure you can guess why I was reminded that I liked him, I saw him for a visit last week, hope my family doesn't check this link and figure it out, they still don't know, more details later after the fam finds out.

Goals that I have,

-to exercise more and be in shape (always a goal)

- to eat healthier, for myself and kids and Jeremy, another constant goal I don't always live by

-and teach the gospel more in our home.

Things I would love,

Nanny, house cleaner (to do the detail work I hate), and someone to cook dinner every night, wait a second aren't these all things a stay at home mom is suppose to do, we're still busy that its not wrong of me to want these things is it, dinner is my least favorite chore.

Well I don't know what else I could include, I miss having our girls nights and can't wait for the summer weekend, hope I can make it and as many of you girls can make it as possible, I'm excited.

Bingham Kids on Easter

I finally got our easter pics up. Jeremy was post

call so after church we went to my dads and had plastic egg hunt. The kids wanted to hunt our eggs that we dyed right when we got home. I told them they would have to keep Taylor awake if they wanted to hunt eggs when we got home. It was 5 and he had not had a nap. They succeeded in keeping him awake, but it was so cute, Taylor was so tired he yelled at them to 'sush' we had a good easter even if we didn't have Jeremy the entire time.

Girls Getaway plans

Hi ladies!

Here's an update on the plans for the girls getaway- we're thinking mid-June or early July. I just saw that Southwest has really great deals right now- especially for Phoenix to here!! $49 each way! Denver and SLC from around $99 each way!! You can't drive for that price!

Notice on the sidebar there is a poll. Lets pick a date soon so we can book flights. I don't think anyone is due to have a baby in July, so that might be nice ;O)

On base here, there is a great private beach that has cottages for rent. There are 3 bedroom cottages right on the beach for only $75/ night!!! Wouldn't that be fun!? We could do that or just stay at mine and Kami's house. I have to reserve the cottages really soon, so check your husbands' schedules or whatever you need to do!!

I'd LOVE it if we could do this every year. If you can't make it this year, try to make plans now to try and make it next year!

Email me if you have questions or whatever. I hope this works out- it'll be so fun!!
