I am rooting for David Archuleta. I have never really been a fan of girl singers. David is super cute. I feel bad for the people who didn't do so well and Simon just told them the truth and they almost started crying right there.
I am so glad you have Brooke White in there... although she didn't do so good yesterday, I have been a fan of her music for a while... so I was excited to see her on the show. I am not sure is she is a good match for this competition, she is a good singer and great song writer... I am not sure she can compete with the vocals of someone like carly, whoa! but I am still rooting for her! She's mormon too if ya couldn't tell. We have mutual friends although I haven't actually met her. David Cook is my favorite guy, I love his voice.
I'm actually super disappointed in this season. All this talk about it being the best ever and I've been so bored. I agree with you, Jenny, that those are some of the better people. I'm hoping it gets better when the rift-raft goes home. I can't figure out that Mormon girl. She kind of seems like a train wreck; she totally freaked me out when she got so upset before they told her the final decision if she was in or not. But then last night she handled herself pretty well while talking to the judges. I thought she seemed pretty nervous during her song. I guess the Australian guy is already a pretty big star in Australia. It seems weird that he's on the show if he's already "made it" there. He's definitely more interesting than most the other guys. Why didn't they put that homeless kid through. I think he was more unique than about half the other men up there. I guess he bombed that last performance and I think it made the judges mad when he "dismissed" the band.
I am expecting great things! There is nothing else to watch so this season better be dang good!
ann, i totally agree with your whole post. funny! anyway, it better be good because jason has a nightmare of a schedule for the next three months, so i'm lining up my evening projects to do while i watch idol. all i can say though, is THANK HEAVENS for TIVO. otherwise, i don't think i could watch.
I love that you guys watch idol. I have to admit good or bad it gives me something to look forward toin the evenings. I actually don't have TiVo here, so my goal is to get the kitchen clean and the kids to bed before 8:00. (It makes me work really fast). Anyways, I hope you are all doing good.
I agree with you Anne. I have been really bored. And I agree with you Megan. If I didn't have dvr I could never sit through this show. I get through a two hour segment in like fourty minutes. I fast forward through all the bla bla which is half the show. I think there are only a small handfull of good singers. I haven't found any that totally wow me yet so I am still waiting. Maybe it is the sixties theme this time. Is it just me or is Jason Castro super cute? Granted the hair is hideous but man he has a cute face. The australian bugs me bad and I don't think he is that great. I guess we will see what next week brings huh. But hey what about that Lost show? Crazy stuff huh.
I am with you Jenny! Those are all of my favorites as well. Austin and I are totally addicted to Idol. We Tivo it and watch it whenever we can together. I love David Archuleta! He is the cutest little kid! I hadn't seen anything of Jason Castro until this last week and I was really impressed. I think he did a great job. I am excited about this season. (It could be that it is because it is the only non-animated tv that I get to watch!) Anyway, I think this season will get really fun once we get down to the top 12!
i agree with you guys about dvr, could never get all the way through this show without it. I have to admit i am not really behind many girls. i was also dissapointed Josiah didn't make it through. David A. is my fave guy too. I think simon has been hilarious this year. can't wait for more idol this week. Jill
