Yesterday we celebrated Hallie's 2nd birthday. She requested a "pink cake" and could hardly wait to eat it. I think she enjoyed that more than opening presents. We just had our neighbors over for cake and ice cream and avoided the big party. Hallie probably would have just gone in the other room to look at books by herself if we had invited a lot of kids over. She's turning into a hermit.
We also went on our ward camp-out this past weekend. A cold front just happened to come through that night and Hallie was scared to be inside the tent, but now that it's all over I can say that we had fun. Zeke was so excited to go fishing but there was too many kids out on that little dock for it to be safe. We're going to go with a family in our ward to another lake for FHE next week so he can finally try out his Superman fishing pole.
It's been raining non-stop for the past few days. I think our high is 61 degrees. It's been nice to bust out the sweatshirts and snuggle under blankets, but hopefully this isn't the beginning of winter already. I hope everyone is doing well.

Happy Birthday Hallie! Cute pictures Ann :) I'm jealous about the rain you've been getting.. We could sure use some here, I feel like we never really left the desert with how dry everything is lately. Well, have fun camping and fishing! Sounds like a blast!!
OH-looks so fun! I can't believe she is 2!! What a cute girl. Zeke will have so much fun fishing-our kids ask to go all the time, maybe we can find somewhere once it cools a bit.Your kids are darling!
ann, adorable pics! our kids love fishing too, we've been a couple times to a stocked pond, so they are sure to catch something. the kids look so grown up! isn't it fun to break out the "winter clothes" box in AUGUST??!!! love the cool weather, for now anyway!

That lake is really pretty. How far away is it from your house? Your family and you look very happy in your pictures. What a difference a day off makes. That is nice that you were able to go camping with Damon.
Your picts are way cute and you look great as usual. I can't believe Hallie is 2. That flew by. We have had a ton of rain also but it is still between 80 and 90 degrees and very humid. I would take that over the cold anyday though. I have definately adapted to AZ weather. It sounds like you are having a lot of fun out there. What a fun ward activity! good to hear from you!
